Commercial Photography
We have worked for clients such as The Daily Telegraph, The Times, The Herald, HIE, Channel 4, FashionTV and various books and magazines. Nearer to home our clients include Hanson Builders, Bute Jewellery, The Bike Shed, Victoria Hotel, Esplanade Hotel, Kingarth Hotel and many others.
Passport Photography & Portrait Photography
Passport photographs are taken at the shop premises using digital cameras and processed while you wait, in all about 4 minutes. Portrait photography can take place either at the client’s home or other desired location such as the island’s superb panoramic backdrops, or at our studio at Crofton Cottage.
Copying, Resizing and Laminating
Any images up to A3 in size can be copied using either of the companies two scanners and any format of photograph can be processed, even old glass slides. Larger images are copied by photography.
Photographic Repair and Enhancement
Photographic repair and enhancement is a speciality of Philip's. Old-damaged or faded photographs are scanned into the computers where Philip Meticulously carries out their repair and enhancement.
Framing and Mount Cutting
Picture Bute offers a bespoke picture framing service. Our framer, Tom Niven, operates from Glasgow and travels to the Isle of Bute weekly to uplift and deliver customer’s orders.
Format Conversion
Photo Slides to DVD or Print
Slides of any type (positive or negative) or any size up to A4 can be scanned using our Epson Perfection V750 Pro Scanner and Silverfast software and converted to digital images on CD or DVD or printed to a format of your choice.
VHS to DVD
Convert your old video tapes to modern DVD format for ease of use and to stop the degredation that happens to video stored on tape.
Vinyl Records to CD or MP3
Convert your Vinyl Records of any size to CD or MP3 for easy use in the future and to avoid needless damage of the original vinyl.
Printing And Design
Online Photo Printing
With our easy-to-use online photo printing service, you can have your own photos printed onto any of a wide variety of formats such as jigsaws, t-shirts, paper, bags and more.
Engraving
This is undertaken in the workshop at Picture Bute. Small items are engraved using the computer- driven Metaza MP80 engraving machine, whilst all others are engraved on the Mastergrave Mk5 Engraver. Prices vary according product and mount.
Calendar Making
High quality calendars are designed and printed using your own photographs. Prices vary according to amount required.
T-Shirts, Workwear and Other Clothing
Your own photographs can be sublimation-printed onto our white T-shirts. Other clothing can also be embellished with our coloured vinyl.
